What online software changes

What to check before choosing

QuestionWhat Broderly does
Where do my designs go?Drawing, vectorising and preview stay in the browser. The machine file is produced by the server then forgotten. Saved designs are hosted in Europe, visible to you alone.
Do I control the settings?Yes: density, underlay, compensation, angle, stitch length, order, trims, node by node. Most online converters don't allow it.
What happens offline?Drawing continues; export waits for the connection.
What if the service stops? At least 90 days' notice; Every project exports as a readable .broderly.json file.
Which formats?PES, DST, JEF, VP3, EXP, HUS written; XXX also read.

Other online embroidery software

SewFlow, Embrowser, EmbroideryTrace, StitchFast and EmbroidAI appeared between 2024 and 2026. They convert an image to a file, in English, with a more or less complete editor, for $10 to $35 a month. None offers shop production (heads, needles, stops, run sheet, quote), complete patches with placement and tack-down, or a guided mode.

Frequently asked questions

Does my browser need to be powerful?

A computer or tablet less than six years old is enough. Vectorising a logo takes one to three seconds; a 100,000-stitch design displays in relief without noticeable lag.

Is the file as good as with installed software?

The stitch engine is the same as the local version: underlays, compensation, order, trims. Quality depends on settings and fabric, not on where the software runs.
