Which format
The DST, read by every Barudan since the 1990s. The native U01 (FDR) format is the Barudan panel's own and is not written by the studio; DST gives the same stitched result. On Automat panels, “jump trim” must be enabled to interpret three consecutive jumps as a trim; it is the default on recent machines.
Transferring the file
- USB stick: FAT32, short names on older panels.
- LEM network: shops with LEM Server drop the DST in the machine folder; “Send to machine” writes straight into it (Chrome or Edge).

Frequently asked questions
Is U01 needed?
No, DST is enough and stitches the same way. U01 only adds display information on the Barudan panel.
