What the viewer shows
The design as the machine will stitch it, stitch by stitch, with its colours in order, its size in millimetres and inches, the stitch count, the colour blocks, the run time at 700 stitches per minute, the thread needed and the smallest common hoop that takes it. Enough to know whether a design received by email suits you before hooping. In the studio, the same design is also shown in relief, and a simulation animates the stitch order colour by colour.
- Drop your files, or a whole folder, in the area above: each design becomes a thumbnail, and versions of the same design (DST + PES + HUS) make only one.
- Click a thumbnail to read its sheet: size, stitches, colours, time, thread, hoop. The full file check also flags very short stitches, excessive densities and untrimmed jumps.
- Convert or edit if needed in the studio: change colours, resize with stitch recalculation, save to another format (free Discovery account).
For shops: thousands of files
The viewer on this page opens whole folders, subfolders included, sorts by name, stitch count or size, filters by name or folder, and reads designs in batches of 200 to stay smooth. A file is re-read only when its sheet is opened. In the studio, the viewer goes further: on-the-fly folder browsing, batches of 100 to 1,000, CSV export of the list with stitches and colours.
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes, opening and viewing a file needs neither account nor payment. Only producing a new machine file (after editing or converting) goes through an account.
Is my file uploaded?
No. Reading happens in your browser. You can go offline after the page loads.
On a phone or tablet?
Yes, the viewer works on iPad and Android with Chrome or Safari: pick your files from the device storage.
