Which format
The VP3, the current format of both brands (same group), containing stitches, colours with thread names and hoop size. HUS is the old compressed format of pre-2010 Husqvarna machines; the studio writes an uncompressed variant accepted by the format decoder, not yet verified on an old machine: prefer VP3 whenever the machine reads it.

Frequently asked questions
HUS or VP3?

Are thread names kept?
Yes, VP3 carries the name and code of every thread; the studio writes your threads as defined in the Threads panel.
