About this design
Soft Pink Bouquet gathers a few simple flowers: two open white blooms and three salmon pink petals, carried on long sage green stems with slender leaves. A small white ribbon ties them together in soft loops. The drawing stays illustrative, with light black outlines and flat matte colours, in a gentle botanical spirit.
At 68 × 70 mm, it sits nicely on a pouch, a kitchen towel, a cushion or the pocket of a tote bag. On light fabrics such as cotton canvas or linen, use a tear away stabiliser so the long stems stay crisp. A natural or pale grey background brings out the white in this machine embroidery.
How to stitch it
- Prepare 5 threads: salmon, sage green, white, black, dark green. The names give the closest shade; pick the one you like in your thread brand.
- Hoop the fabric in a 10 × 10 cm hoop with a stabiliser: tear-away for woven fabric (cotton, linen, canvas), cut-away for stretchy fabric (T-shirt, sweatshirt, bodysuit).
- Stitch the colours in this order: salmon → sage green → white → black → dark green → white → sage green. The machine stops at each thread change (6 changes, 45 trims).
- Allow about 17 minutes at 700 stitches per minute, 8,773 stitches in all.
- For another size, open the design in the studio rather than enlarging it on the machine: the stitches are recalculated and the density stays right.
